Petticoat Painter Keiko Romerstein and Curator for Sumi-e Exhibition: East Asian Brush Painting, invites you to this exhibit presented by the Sumi-e Society of America, Sarasota Chapter. This exhibit runs from August 29 through November.

The Ringling Community Gallery is always free and open to the public. The public exhibition space is located on the ground floor of the museum’s Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Center for Asian Art.Those wishing to visit the exhibition should ask for a Community Gallery wristband at the Visitors Pavilion upon arrival at The Ringling.
The Sarasota Chapter of Sumi-e, referred to as East Asian Brush Painting, teaches the Japanese art & appreciation of painting with black ink on white paper, a skill dating back 6000 years. Keiko curated over 45 Shikishi board paintings by 24 members, specifically for the Community Gallery located in the Center for Asian Art at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.
